Google Nest Mini can now be used outdoors. This original Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen) has been modified by Proofion and is now suitable for outdoor use.
Smart home becomes smart garden. Now the Google Nest Mini voice assistant can also be used in the garden. To make this possible, Proofion dismantles an original Google Nest Mini of the second generation and treats all components with a high-tech surface coating. Thus, not only the electronics, but also the housing (including decorative cover), and the loudspeaker are optimally protected from moisture and corrosion.
Pool owners will love this smart and weatherproof voice assistant. While you swim your tracks, you can now also control the appropriate music.
Optimum protection against moisture and corrosion
- Proofion dismantles a Google Nest Mini (2nd gen.) And coats the circuit boards, speakers, housing (including decor / fabric) with a high-tech surface coating.
- This means that the Google Nest Mini is optimally protected from moisture and corrosion and can therefore be installed outdoors.
- The external power supply unit and the connection cables are not coated and must be protected from moisture, for example with a waterproof flush-mounted socket or a wall socket for outdoor use.

Important notes
- The external power supply and the connection cables are not coated and must be protected from moisture, e.g. with a waterproof flush-mounted socket or a wall socket for the outdoor area.
- Despite our modification and coating, the modified Google Nest Mini is not waterproof! The components we coat are water-resistant and water-repellent. This also applies to the fabric cover of the Google Nest Mini. Due to the large pores of the material, however, water can still get into the housing and change the sound image through water on the loudspeaker. For this reason, the modified Google Nest Mini may only be set up or mounted in positions protected from rain (e.g. under a canopy). As with any electronic device, heat can damage electronics. Therefore, do not expose the Google Nest Mini to direct sunlight or heat.
- In the video we show how we put a modified Echo Dot in water. This only serves to demonstrate the effectiveness of our coating to you. Do not do this under any circumstances! Caution: tension! This can be life-threatening!
